Cooper and his good friend Porter played at the park while Sage and I were taking some pics for our photography class. They were having so much fun playing in the prairie dog holes- throwing rocks down inside, yelling for them, listening to see if they were making sounds and throwing dirt of course!

From Cattle to Seattle!

Day 4
Monday was a short day since we had to be at the airport by 1pm but we packed it full of the beach and the Zoo. We went to the a peninsula right above Tacoma where there was a beautiful beach and all these great parks and the Zoo. The Zoo was great- it was an amaizing Zoo. We saw an Asian elephant, a Balooga whale, sharks, a tiger, a polar bear and lots of other cool animals! It was beautiful and perfect outside (overcast and cool) and we had the Zoo pretty much to ourselves. Then we had to say goodbye. Bye Bye Zac, Sherida and Claire!

Day 3

Day 3
We went to the County Fair and then hung out at Zac's parents house and went in the hot tub.
On Sunday we decided to go to the Puallup fair which is REALLY big and fun. Unfortunatly, it rained the whole time but we made the best of it. We went and saw all the livestock- which the kids loved! Cooper rode a few rides including the airplanes all by himself! They went pretty fast and high- he loved it(independent little sucker!) And we ate some yummy food- all of which added up to about 100 grams of fat. :) yum. Josie pigged out on the scones and got it all over the place but she was happy.

Day 2

Day 2:
Joe goes boating/fishing for his birthday while Sherida and I take the kids to the park.
After that we get a babysitter and head up to Seattle!
Joe woke up really early to go fishing and boating but unfortunatly didn't catch anything! Sherida and I had a great time at this really cute park by her house. I can't beleive all the trees there! It was SO green and beautiful. After the guys got home we put the kids down for naps and we were outta there! We got a babysitter for 8 hours!! That is the longest I have ever left my kids with anyone! But it was SO worth it! We had SO much fun in Seattle! First we went to the Space Needle and toured around there where we saw this really fun water fountain. Then we took the train to downtown and went to the fish market/downtown Seattle. We saw a lot of interesting characters and it there were so many cool vendors. We bought some art work, some really yummy jam and some fresh fruit. After that we went down to the piers and toured around. Sherida and I went shopping at the great malls there while the guys got us a table at PF Changs and then we ate some yummy food. It was so much fun to hang out with friends without the kids!

Happy Birthday Joe!

For Joe's birthday I thought it would really fun to surprise him and go visit our good friends up in Seattle (actually they live outside Seattle in a town called University Place) It was hard keeping it a secret but it was worth it- I love surprising other people- just not being surprised :) Well here is our trip in a nut shell...
Day 1:
Wake up at 5 am and leave Denver @ 9am
Get to Seattle at 1pm
Walk a trail along the coast and then eat at a really cute seafood place called "Steamers"
The traveling there was a bit long but Cooper LOVED the airplane! It was his first ride that he remembers and has an idea of what's going on. Once we got there cute Sherida had a birthday cake and streamers all set up for Joe- it was really thoughtful. We hung out for a while and let the kids nap. Then we headed off to the coast (only about 5 minutes) from Zac and Sherida's house. We walked along this beautiful trail to this lookout point and then went and ate down by the water at Steamers. It was right next to the train tracks and Cooper loved it.

S'more aprons....

It felt SO good to get this brown and red flower one out of my head! I have been creating it in my mind for a week or so and it turned out really cute I think. The blue polka dot one is for a boy and I think it's pretty cute too- as cute as boy aprons can get! Why you ask am I sewing aprons? Well, let me tell you... I went into this really cute children's boutique here in Fort Collins to look around and ended up talking to the owner whom mentioned to me that they needed a few things- and children's aprons were one of the items needed. So I gave it a go. I am putting my things in for review today to see if they like any of them... we'll see what happens! If they do, I don't know how in the world I am going to make these in mass quantities without opening up a sweat shop! But we'll see when and if we get there!

Poudre Canyon...

This is the canyon right by our house- about 25 minutes away. There is a big river- Poudre River that runs right through the canyon. It's gorgeous and there are a bunch of parks and trails up there. We are just hanging out with some of our friends- Laurel, Russ, Jackson and Cannon. Joe is attempting to fish with Cooper but he lost interest in about 2.5 seconds when nothing happened.

Adorable little muchkin!!

Josie is just too cute for words! She is so fun and happy all the time... a dream baby really. She has started eating solids, rolls over like crazy and scoots on her tummy all over the place. She is SO much fun! The first thing Cooper says in the morning is "baby- where's baby?!" And then he runs over and kisses her. It's SO cute!

Sew time!

Just a few items I have been working on. My friends and I want to open up a little business (more like sweat shop!) And here are a few items we have been working on. A name sign- that didn't turn out as cute as I had hoped and a couple little kids cooking aprons- which were so easy! We are hoping to get some of our things into a few stores around here. That would be SO awesome! Meanwhile... I am just practicing and experimenting with different ideas.

Enjoying the last of summer...

We love to eat out on our patio and we are SO enjoying the semi-cooler weather lately. Cooper always wants to eat outside- he loves to watch the cars and big trucks go by.
