Today was the Boulder Boulder. It's a HUGE road race in Boulder that happens every Memorial Day. This year there were 53,000 people who ran it! It is a 10K so not too bad and it's SO much fun! It goes all through Boulder and the downtown area and then ends up in the University of Colorado stadium where SO many people gathered! This was my first time running it and I can't wait until next year! I finished 23, 221 place!! (Hey- at least I was in the top half!) It was SO nice NOT having to push a stroller since that is all I have been doing the past year. I did a lot better than I thought I would- I ran the whole time and kept about a 9 minute 40 second pace. Hopefully next year we'll have an even bigger group! Thanks Linda for talking me into doing it!! Your the best!

Our ward started these "Pot Luck Partner Ups". They are pot luck dinners with different groups of people every month so that we can all get to know each other better. It's a great idea and ours turned out pretty well. We had it at the park right next to our house.

Our good friends the Bartholet's are moving to Arizona!! We are SO sad so we are trying to hang out and enjoy them as much as possible before they leave. We headed down town to grab some ice cream and then enjoy the water features at Oak st. plaza. The kids got soaked and LOVED every minute of it! We'll miss you guys!!

We decided to brave camping with two toddlers and I'm so glad we did! We went to Carter Lake (about 20 minutes from our house- just to be safe) We had SO much fun and the kids LOVED it- they love to be outside no matter what they are doing. Joe and I absolutely love camping too and so we weren't about to let two crazy monkeys get in our way of enjoying the outdoors! I will have to admit though 4 people on a queen blow up mattress at two in the morning while about 35 degrees outside wasn't much fun. Cooper slept pretty good- I think he got cold so he crawled in bed with us. Josie on the other hand... probably slept a total of 1.5 hours and therefore, so did everyone else- including the people on both sides of us camping! Sorry people!
After we packed up camp we headed to the Lake with Mike and Porter. The boys got totally muddy but loved it and the guys had a skipping rock contest. Thanks Mike and Porter for hangin with us!

THIRD TIMES a charm!!

Yes... for the THIRD time in his three years of life, Cooper got stitches!! He was playing on a rock while Joe was getting firewood and he slipped and fell. He is SO tough I can't even believe it! He didn't even cry, just wined so we didn't think it was that big of a deal and then we turned his arm and saw fat and tendons hanging out! Yuck!! So off we went to the E.R for 6 stitches. 25 stitches down... and counting!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Just wanted to give a little recognition to my Mom on Mother's Day... We love you SO much!! You are truly such a beautiful person inside and out. You are so giving, loving, understanding, patient and full of wisdom! We LOVE YOU!!! And thanks so much for all your sacrifices, hard work and great example. Your a great Mom and Grandma.

Happy Mother's Day to me. I LOVE being a mom. My kids are great. They have taught me SO much and I am so grateful and lucky to have such beautiful, fun and silly kids who challenge me everyday and make me a better person. Thanks Sage for the pics!

Up the Poudre Canyon there is this place right at the base called "Picnic Rock. It's about 25 minutes from our house and it's so pretty and cool! I am SO glad we all went, we had so much fun and so did the kids! We ate, played and hung out. The kids all got soaking wet by jumping in the FREEZING river... but they never complained, they had a blast throwing rocks and just being boys!

We decided it was such a perfect day for the Zoo that we headed down to Denver! We ended up getting season passes so if anyone wants to go (Laurel? Melissa? Sage?) Let 's do it!! It's was such a great Zoo! They have SO many animals, we spent hours and didn't even see everything.

GO ROCKIES!!

The Bartholet's, the King's and us all went to the Rockies Vs. Cardinals game on May 6th. It was SO much fun! Although, I only got to see about 5 minutes of the game... it was still a great adventure and the kids had a blast.
