Moms visit...

My Mom and her husband David came to visit last week and we had so much fun! Thanks mom for watching the kids, disciplining Cooper, giving me much needed advice and for just being a great Mom! Thanks David for putting up with us, reading endless books to Cooper and doing the dishes! Your a great guy! Love- Heather, Joe, Cooper and Josie

Butterfly Pavilion...

We went to Denver to take my Mom and David to the airport and on the way up we went to the Butterfly pavilion in Westminster. I highly recommend it- we ALL loved it! Not only did we see TONS of different butterflies but we saw so may different bugs, spiders and even fish! They had this really cute play area for the kids too with life size bugs- very cool.

Lee Martinez Farm...

Again another beautiful day so we headed to the farm...! Grandma even got Cooper a pony ride- which he loved! The animals were are so cute! There were baby calf's, goats and sheep-of course my kids liked the kid sized the tractor the best.

Lake Loveland...

It was a gorgeous night so we decided to head to the Lake! I wanted to show my mom and David the gorgeous amenities we have here... it was a little too cold for us, but apparently Cooper felt quite comfortable... a little too comfortable maybe? Where are that kids pants!

Spring has SPRUNG!

Well, it's official. Spring is here!
Time for parks, running outside, tree blossoms, Capri's, opening the windows, finally spending time outside and yes- bird nests in our front porch wreath!

9 things about Cooper...
1. He is so independent.This kid wants to do everything by himself! He thinks he's so big! (Ok, so maybe he is getting big- where has time gone?!)
2. Cooper is so fun. He loves to have a good time and is always the center of the party. He is extremely entertaining and loves to make people laugh- especially Josie.
3. He is so active! Cooper goes and goes and goes non- stop all day long! (Ok. So he crashes at about 1pm for a 2-3 hour nap) and then he's up full speed again...
4. Cooper has the best memory. Even when he was about 10 months old he remembered all the animal sounds and he knew so many words! He amazes me everyday. We will meet someone once and he remembers their name. We go somewhere one time and then we will drive to it again a couple months later and on the way there (before we even get there) he will say " where going to..."! He is SO amazing that way!
5. He is incredibly determined. He gets his mind set on something and there is nothing that will stop him. I mean, we are talking days he will not let stuff go... ( Hmm... wonder where he get's that from? :)
6. He loves to be the center of attention. If you are not completely 100% focused on him then he will scream at the top of his lungs, jump up and down or what ever he needs to do for you to pay complete attention to him.
7. Cooper loves to learn and discover. He is always asking questions, wondering off, checking things out, taking things apart to see how they work....
8. He is such a boy! He can't sleep without his big truck, his fire engine and his blue blankie. But most importantly... he can't go to sleep without kisses from mommy and daddy.
9. He also loves chocolate. He could seriously eat chocolate for every meal and be totally happy.

Josie Girl...

So Josie got tagged...
And I am always so happy to write about my precious little girly girl!
8 things about Josie...
1. She is SO sweet! Seriously, she is always sharing and giving Cooper hugs- she is just the sweetest little thing!
2. She LOVES to be held. Josie loves to cuddle and just sit on your hip and see the world from up higher.
3. She has the BEST hair! I mean check out the body and the natural highlights! Everywhere we go people comment on her hair. Look at her little bob!
4. She is a girl of little words. Josie only knows four words. "Daa Daa" (Daddy) "Dadi" (Doggi) "No No" and "Na Na" (Night night- her favorite)
5. Yes- Josie LOVES to sleep! Every night at about 7:30 she will start to whine and point up stairs and say "Na Na".
6. She HATES shoes. Every time I put them on her I literally turn my head and they are kicked off. We are constantly losing them in stores and in the car!
7. She LOVES to eat- her favorite-every type of pasta!
8. And Lastly... Josie is SO happy! Every morning I wake up to laughs and giggles. She is just so happy all the time and brings SO much joy to our lives.

Utah Trip...

We decided to head to Utah for Easter... I was getting a little spring fever and needed a change of scenery! The drive out was a little rough- the kids only slept for 1 hour so I had to entertain them 7 hours! But once we got there- it was go, go, go and the kids were GREAT! Cooper did SO good on this trip! We prepped him for about 1 week on how to behave and how to be nice to his cousin T.J- it worked!! They played SO well together- it was a miracle! I have to say this was our best trip in a long time... :)

Utah Trip- Day 1

We got in very late Friday night so we slept in a little on Saturday (at least I did!). Joe woke up nice and early to go skiing with his brothers, his sister Julie and Jezni. He said they had such a blast and it couldn't have been better! The kids and I hung out with Grammy, Wendy and T.J. We went to the park and then I went to go visit with my friends in Salt Lake- Fun! Fun! That afternoon we had a big Easter Egg hunt ( I mean HUGE!) There were about 20 kids there- all cousins. It was so fun! And the weather was just right. Maureen (Joe's Aunt) put tickets in some of the eggs and set up this cute store where they could redeem their tickets- SO creative! It is so nice to spend time with family and Cooper just loves all his cousins!

Utah Trip- Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday
This morning Joe and I woke up to the sound of candy wrappers and "mmmmm". Cooper woke up nice and early and got right to work on his basket! Even before I could take a picture! As soon as Josie woke up she headed straight for the chocolate. After church we had a really nice Sunday dinner (Cooper helped Grammy set the table- what a cutie!) and then we went outside to the park- it was BEAUTIFUL!! After that, we went to Jed's house and hung out with Joe's dad and the kids. They had such a blast riding 4-wheelers, motorcycles, a new truck and playing in the dirt! We LOVE and miss Utah- look at that view from Jed's house!
