Yes, we have been busy, busy...
Cutting Teeth
Josie has cut two teeth and I think her upper two are coming in also. She has been miserable- poor thing. She has had a fever and is just really whiny. But her little teeth are so cute!
Potty training
Cooper IS potty trained!! I guess he was totally ready because it only took two days and he is totally trained- he even stands up to pee (it's SO cute!). We have been 5 days and counting and have had NO accidents! He even wakes up in the morning dry! I am VERY proud of him. I thought it would take a LOT longer than this. Of course the kids teeth are going to rot out because of all the candy he has been getting for going in the potty. But hey- that's what dentist's are for- right? :)

Walking
Yes!She has been walking- It is SO exciting!! She took her first steps at nine months but hasn't actually started "walking" until now. She is very cautious and slow but she is getting braver and going longer distances every day. I think the most steps she has taken at once has been about 10.

Playhouse Disney!!

Playhouse Disney came to Fort Collins and it was SO much fun! We saw Mickey Mouse clubhouse, Handy Manny, Little Einsteins and Winnie The Pooh. Cooper and Josie both loved it and they had a blast. Cooper was so excited to see "Rocket" from the little Einsteins and Josie just clapped and bounced with the music the whole time. We went with a few friends who all have boys Cooper's age so that was fun too.

CHRISTMAS!
Wow. This blog is in serious need of some updating! We have had a marathon Holiday season and it is just winding down finally Whew!
Merry Christmas- from Santa's little helper.
Grammy Jane and the two monkeys
Cooper and his new BFF- his cousin T.J
Well, we flew to California for my family Christmas party- we were there 3 days. It was so great to see my new niece- Kendall and to visit with everyone. Cooper got SO many presents!! We were home 3 days then packed up the kids and the car and headed out to Utah. We ended up staying for 1 week and it was so much fun! Cooper played the whole time with his cousin T.J who is 1 month older. He had so much fun. He also played with all the other cousins and all his toys from Christmas. We had Christmas at Joe's moms house- it was great. Except Cooper's big present from Santa was a huge train table so we left it at home and did a small Christmas morning- he still loved it though. We also had a blast at Joe's dads house. Cooper rode the horse all by himself, rode the 4 wheeler (with Dad), and got pulled behind it on a sled. He had SOO much fun. He is such a little daredevil- he has no fear! When we got back we surprised him with yet another gift- a Thomas Train table- which he LOVED and has not stopped playing with it since he got it!

Some randoms...

I was getting some pics from my old camera and came across these pictures that I forgot about. They are so cute! We took these a couple months ago. They are of one of the lakes right up the street and a beach we loved going to this summer. I love the picture of Joe and Cooper.

The boys...

Here are Cooper and a couple of his good friends- Christian and Niko. They are moving in right up the street from us so we are SO excited! Here they are playing in the "backyard" and exploring the "cave" (aka excess water tunnel) And they we went and played on the trampoline. They had tons of fun and Cooper loves hanging with the big boys.

Thanksgiving

This year my mom, her husband, my sister and her husband all came to visit us. It was great not having to travel with the kids and to finally have some visitors! Unfortunately, Josie got sick the day they came in and was really sick the whole time. And of course- she passed it on to everyone! So every day someone was sick but we did the best we could to have a good time and they saw some sites, played in the snow and ate a yummy Thanksgiving Dinner. It was great to have them and we are very thankful for family.

SNOW!!!

Well, it finally snowed here! It was the first and only time yet. But it was a good snow storm and we had tons of fun playing in it! Especially when it's right out our back door and we can have so much fun in our own backyard. Cooper enjoyed the snow a lot more this year than last and him and Joe played for hours.

Play group at the Skate Rink

This indoor hockey rink by our house hosts a really fun play group every Wednesday morning. They put tons of bikes, cars, tunnels, hula hoops, balls and lots of other stuff out for all the kids to play on. They had a bounce castle and a parachute that they played games with. It was a blast!

My kids...
Since I use this blog as a kind of online journal I feel the need to update everyone on my kids and what they have been up too...
Cooper
What he loves:
1. His Daddy- all day long I hear " I want Daddy."
2. To play!!! This kid LOVES to wrestle, run, jump, roll and bounce off and on everything. He always wants to play tag around the house and wrestle with Joe as soon as he gets home.
3. His trains, and his big trucks. He goes through phases where one day he wants to play with Mac- his big truck all day and the next day he wants only to play with his trains.
4. Little Einsteins and Nemo- His favorite T.V show and his favorite movie. (Seriously, I think Joe and I have endured Nemo at LEAST 40 times)
5. Mac and Cheese. Every meal I ask Cooper what he wants to eat and it's always "Mac n Cheese!"
6. To scare people- he just recently discovered the fun you can have and the reaction he gets when he scares someone. He loves to hide and stick out his toes ( so we can find him) and then jump out and scare us. It's funny.
7. To be social. He is a social butterfly. He loves preschool and the gym day care where he can just hang out with the kids and play.
8. CANDY!!!! Yes- the son of a dentist and I have never seen anyone worship candy as much as this kid. The second he wakes up " I want candy mommy."
9. Stories- He loves when Joe and I tell him stories especially about bears and big trucks. We'll be telling him a sweet little story about a baby or something and he'll get all excited and chime in " ... and then a big bear came and ate him!" Or "... and then a big truck came!"
10. Fire trucks- He LOVES them! What little boy doesn't?
What he hates:
1. Being dirty. He hates stuff on his hands and if a bib even has a little spot on it he will make you get a new one!
2. Going to bed. Just recently he started this. But I think he just has too much fun during the day and doesn't want to miss a thing.
3. When Josie plays with "his toys" Of course all the toys are his- they are recycled from him! So this is a constant problem that we work on daily.
4. When we're all done playing. He just wants to play and play all day long. And we have to go somewhere or do something- he hates it.
Over all Cooper is a pretty typical two year old. He is quite moody and can go from laughing to temper tantrum in literally 2 seconds. When he is in a good mood though he is SO much fun!! He is REALLY funny and loves to make people laugh. He is very witty- like his dad and a busy body- like his mom. He loves to be out and about and exploring. We love him, although he is a major handful sometimes but well worth it. :)
Josie
What she loves:
1. Her bottle- she is a bottle baby and any cry can easily be soothed by a warm bottle.
2. Food! She LOVES to eat! This girl is such a great eater! She eats anything and everything (except peas)
3. Cooper- she LOVES her big brother. She has so much fun playing with him and laughing at him.
4. Her bed. She loves to sleep and take naps in her own bed- what baby doesn't?
5. Baths. She loves to play in the water and splash around.
6. Playing. She LOVES to just play by herself. She will go in the play room and I won't hear a peep out of her for over an hour. She is so easily entertained and just plays and explores everything.
7. To sing and dance. She loves " If your happy and you know it..." And she cracks up every time we clap her hands and squish her cheeks.
8. To stand up. She is standing up on her own now and pushes herself on her walker. She will be walking here soon...
9. Her pacifier. She has to have it to go to sleep.
What she hates:
1. To be dirty. She whines and cries if she has a dirty diaper until you change her.
2. Peas- that is the only food I have found she doesn't like.
3. When Cooper takes her toys away. She screams! This girl learned how to hold her own pretty early.
4. Shoes and socks. She kicks them off the second I put them on- she HATES them.
Josie is the most laid back, easy going and happiest baby ever. She is so easily amused and pretty much loves everything. She is very predictable and adapts well to everything. We LOVE her SO much!!

Super Hero Party!!

Bev is going to kill me for this picture...

Happy Birthday Jackson! Jackson Bartholet turned 4 last week and had a really fun "Super Hero party" at the park right next to our house. They played "Super Hero" games (tug o war, chase, and kick the ball) and hit the Spiderman piniata. It was SO much fun! Cooper loved to dress up and we all just hung out- it was BEAUTIFUL- about 70 degrees!! (ofcourse- it ALWAYS is here :)

Halloween....
Cooper doing his "Scary wolf growl!"
"Giddy up Woody!"
Just checking to make sure it's all still there!
The Dynamic Duo- Woody and Buzz (aka. Jackson and Reed)
Little Red riding hood looking so cute.
Our neighborhood church group that we went Trick or treating with.
Cute little Lion with his mommy- Emily.
For Halloween this year Cooper and Josie were Little Red riding hood and The big bad wolf. Their costumes turned out really cute I think. I threw them together at the last minute- literally about 2 hours before our church party (they were going to be Pebbles and Bam Bam- but I decided it was too cold so I changed my mind at the last minute!) I didn't think Cooper would keep his costume on but surprisingly he did! I have rarely seen the kid this happy. He was SO excited trick or treating he just kept laughing and jumping up and down yelling "Candy, ha ha, Candy!" It was really cute but that is when you know your kid is truly addicted.
For more pics check out Sage's site- The Pierce family- under Blogger friends- to the right.
